Most people who call us have been let down before — a contractor who vanished mid-job, or a quote that ballooned with no explanation. Our process exists to be the opposite of that. You always know what's happening next, who's doing the work, and what it costs. And the craftsman, Micah Beatty, is personally involved from the first measurement to the final walkthrough.
From first call to finished kitchen
Every project is a little different, but the path is the same. Here is exactly how it goes.
- First call & free estimate. You call or send a request and we talk through what you're hoping to do — a single bank of cabinets, a vanity, or a full kitchen. There's no charge to find out what's possible, and no pressure. Calls during business hours are usually answered the same day; after-hours calls get a text back the next business day.
- On-site measure & design conversation. We come to your home, take real measurements, and look at the space together. This matters in the Hudson Valley, where older homes often have non-standard openings, settled walls, and tight corners that stock sizes don't account for. We talk about how you actually use the room, what's frustrating about it now, and what you want it to feel like when it's done.
- Choosing cabinetry — value vs. custom. This is where we get the look to fit the budget. We'll walk you through value, semi-custom, and true custom lines, and where modifying a quality stock line to fit your space gets you a fully custom look for less. Honest note: within certain price ranges, a given cabinet line may have limited door styles, finishes, or availability — we'll tell you that up front so you can choose with clear eyes rather than be surprised later.
- A clear written proposal. You get the scope, the cabinetry line, and the price in writing — not a vague verbal number. If something changes the price later, you'll know why before any work is done.
- The build & installation. Micah is personally involved in the work. Your project isn't handed off to a rotating crew you never met. We protect the home while we work and keep the disruption to your day as short as the job honestly allows.
- Finishing details done right. The difference between "installed" and "finished" is in the details — trim, paint touch-ups, and the small things that make it look like it was always meant to be there. Clients regularly tell us the work came back better than agreed.
- Final walkthrough. We walk the finished project with you, make sure every detail meets the standard, and confirm the warranty that applies to what you bought — in writing.

Timing & lead times
Cabinetry is ordered and built — it isn't pulled off a shelf. Lead times vary by line and time of year. We give you a realistic window up front and tell you if anything shifts, rather than promising a date we can't keep.
Why the price varies
The same kitchen can cost very different amounts depending on the cabinetry line, door style, finish, and how much modification your space needs. We explain the trade-offs so you're choosing the price, not having it sprung on you.
Limited availability in some ranges
In certain budgets, a cabinet line may offer fewer styles or finishes, or have longer availability windows. We set that expectation honestly so you can decide what matters most to you.
What we don't do
We install new doors and new cabinetry only — no refacing or repainting of existing cabinets, and no emergency or weekend service. We'd rather tell you that than overpromise.
