Modifying stock to fit — and to look fully custom

Older Hudson Valley homes rarely come with tidy, standard openings. Walls aren't square, ceilings vary, and a 34-inch gap doesn't care that cabinets come in even sizes. Builders who only drop in stock boxes leave you with filler strips, awkward gaps, and a kitchen that looks "close enough." We do the opposite: we modify stock cabinetry, scribing to walls, adding fillers and trim where they read as intentional, building out toe kicks and crown — so non-standard openings get covered cleanly and the finished kitchen looks fully custom. The cabinetry fits the house, not the other way around.
