Honest about what we do and don't do
Plenty of companies will sell you "refacing" or "repainting" your existing cabinetry. We don't, and we want to be straight about that before you call. We do not reface cabinets. We do not repaint existing cabinetry. We will not reuse your existing doors. What we do is build and install new doors on cabinet boxes that are still sound.
The reason is simple: refacing and repainting tend to look like exactly what they are after a year or two — and our name goes on the work. We'd rather give you a result that holds up than a quick cosmetic fix that doesn't. New doors, properly built and hung, change the entire look of a kitchen while keeping the cost well below a full cabinetry replacement.
When new doors make sense — and when they don't
New doors are a great fit when your existing cabinet boxes are structurally sound — solid, square, well-anchored, with working hinges and slides — and the layout already works for you. If you mainly dislike the look of the doors, new doors give you a dramatically fresher kitchen without the cost and disruption of a full replacement.
A new build is the better call when the boxes are failing (water-damaged, sagging, particleboard that's swelling), when the layout itself is the problem, or when you're changing the footprint of the kitchen. In those cases, new doors on bad boxes is money spent in the wrong place — you'd be dressing up a structure that needs to go. We'll tell you honestly which camp you're in when we come out, and if a new build is smarter, we'll point you to our kitchen cabinetry page rather than sell you doors you'll regret.
