Cabinetry & Kitchen Remodeling in Putnam Valley, NY
Putnam Valley is rural, wooded, and dotted with lake communities — Lake Peekskill, Roaring Brook, Oscawana, and more. Division Seven Millwork builds custom and value cabinetry, remodels kitchens, and installs vanities for Putnam Valley homes and second homes, owner-run by Micah Beatty since 2001.
Wooded lots, lake communities, and old cottages
Putnam Valley is the quiet, green side of the county — wooded hills, winding roads, and a string of small lake communities like Lake Peekskill, Roaring Brook, and Oscawana Lake. A lot of the homes here are tucked into those lake associations, and many started as seasonal cottages.
That makes for some of the most non-standard kitchens we work in. Cottages that were winterized and added onto, low ceilings, settled floors, and openings that no off-the-shelf cabinet was ever meant to fill. This is precisely where our method shines — we modify quality stock and semi-custom cabinet lines to fit those quirky lake-house openings and look fully custom, instead of forcing a teardown. Out here almost everything runs on well water, so hard-water and calcium staining on vanity tops and finishes is something we plan for, not discover later.
Many of these are also second homes, so we're comfortable coordinating a job for an owner who isn't on site every day.

Tucked-away lake homes are exactly the kind of job some contractors won't drive for, or treat as an afterthought. We don't. Micah runs the work himself, shows up, and stays involved — whether you're there or back in the city.
We hold a Putnam County Home Improvement license (#51556), carry full liability, workers' comp, and disability coverage, are OSHA-certified, and are a NYS-Certified Minority Business Enterprise, with work featured in New York House magazine. We install new cabinetry and doors rather than refacing or repainting, so a dated cottage kitchen comes back genuinely finished — not patched over.
"They executed a beautiful renovation at our lake house. The crew showed up on time, got the work done."
"While I was away, he installed everything and even painted and added trim — he wanted it to look finished and beautiful."
